Ingredients
  • 1 c sugar
  • ½ c oil or shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c flour
  • 1 t soda
  • ½ t salt
  • 3 ripe bananas mashed
  • 1 c walnuts chopped
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 325.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine sugar, oil, and eggs.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Add soda, salt, mashed bananas, and flour, continue mixing, then add nuts.
  5. Makes 1 loaf.
  6. Pour mixture into a greased loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour 10 minutes or until done.

  • ⅓ c shortening
  • 1 c mashed bananas
  • ½ t baking powder
  • 2 t baking baking soda
  • ½ t salt
  • 1¾ c flour
  • ¼ c walnuts (optional)
Instructions
  1. Add all the ingredients in a bowl in the order given.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Pour batter into a greased bread pan.
  4. Makes 1 loaf.
  5. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.

Ingredients
  • 2 T butter
  • 1 T flour
  • 1 c milk
  • 1 t salt
  • 1 can tuna drained or salmon
  • 2 cups cooked noodles, your favorite
  • 1 c grated cheese
  • ¼ cup bread crumbs
Instructions
  1. In a medium fry pan, melt butter, then add flour, salt and milk.
  2. Cook stirring constantly until mixture thickens.
  3. Stir in fish and noodles and pour into a 9×13 pan.
  4. Top with cheese and bread crumbs.
  5. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and mixture is heated through.

  • 2 T red wine vinegar
  • ¼ c dijon mustard
  • ⅛ t crushed red pepper (optional)

  1. In a bowl, combine all ingredients.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Drizzle over chilled steamed asparagus.

Ingredients
  • ½ c apricot preserves
  • 2 T soy sauce
  • 1 T lemon juice
  • ¼ c minced onion
  • 1 T chopped parsley
  • ⅛ t oregano
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (halves)
Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine fruit spread, soy sauce, lemon juice, onion, parsley, and oregano; set aside ¼ cup of mixture for basting sauce.
  2. Add chicken pieces to remaining mixture and turn several times, coating pieces well.
  3. Refrigerate at least 5 hours or overnight; turn pieces several times during refrigeration.
  4. Remove from marinade and place in a single layer in a baking pan. Discard remaining marinade.
  5. Bake, uncovered, in a 350 oven 45 to 50 minutes, or until chicken is tender, lightly browned.
  6. Brush with reserved sauce several times during cooking.
  7. Brush remaining reserved sauce on chicken just before serving on your favorite rice.

Ingredients
  • ½ c sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ c cold water
  • 1 pkg instant vanilla pudding
  • (do not follow pkg instructions)
  • 1 12 oz Cool Whip
  • 1 angel food cake cubed (set aside)
  • 1 pkg Danish Dessert (follow pkg instructions)
  • 2 Ib. sliced strawberries, leave one whole for final garnish
Instructions
  1. Mix the first 3 ingredients together until stiff.
  2. Fold in Cool Whip and place in the fridge for 30 minutes until chilled.
  3. After the mixture is chilled, reserve ¼ cup of the mixture for the final garnish.
  4. Prepare Danish Dessert and fold in strawberries.
  5. Place in fridge and chill until mixture starts to thicken, about 1 hour.
  6. In a nice glass bowl, layer pudding mixture, cake cubes, and strawberry mixture. Continue repeating these steps until all ingredients are gone.

  • 1⅓ c sugar
  • 1 c butter
  • ½ c corn syrup
  • 1 t vanilla
  • ½ small bag sliced almonds
  • ½ small bag coconut
  • 4 quarts popcorn(popped)
Instructions
  1. Place popcorn in a large mixing bowl or buttered cookie sheet.
  2. In a medium size sauce pan combine sugar, butter, and corn syrup.
  3. Stir, and boil until a softball, 228-230 degrees.
  4. Add vanilla, almonds and coconut.
  5. Pour heated mixture over popcorn until evenly coated.

Ingredients
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 6 slices of chopped crisp bacon
  • 1½ cup sour cream
  • ¾ cup mayonnaise
  • chives, chopped
  • scallions, chopped
  • worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • olive oil
Instructions
  1. Peel the garlic cloves, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil and bake at 400 degrees until tender, about 45 minutes. When Cooled, mash into a pulp.
  2. Saute 1 each chopped yellow and red onion in olive oil over low heat until caramelized.
  3. Allow onions to cool and mix with sour cream, mayonnaise, roasted garlic and chopped chives and scallions.
  4. Add Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper to taste
  5. Add crumbled bacon and mix together.
  6. Chill and serve.

  • 2 egg whites
  • ½ tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. confectioners' sugar
Instructions
  1. Combine almond paste, egg whites and vanilla.
  2. Slowly add confectioners sugar until you have reached a stiff manageable consistency.
  3. Allow to sit overnight in the refrigerator to stiffen up.
  4. Can be molded into different shapes as desired.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups trail mix
  • ⅓ cup milk chocolate chips
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp. honey
Instructions
  1. In a Large bowl combine all o the dry ingredients.
  2. In a separate bowl mash the bananas and add the egg and honey.
  3. Combine both mixtures together and mix until everything is evenly coated.
  4. Press into a greased 12 X 9-inch cake pan.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until it begins to brown.
  6. Cool completely before cutting into bars.

Ingredients
  • 14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tbsp. peppermint extract
  • 6 c. confectioners sugar
  • Additional confectioners sugar
  • 1½ lbs. semi sweet chocolate chips, melted
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, extract and sugar and mix until smooth.
  2. Turn out mixture onto surface well sprinkled with confectioners sugar.
  3. Shape into 1-inch balls and place them on wax paper.
  4. Flatten each ball into an 1½-inch patty.
  5. Let dry one hour.
  6. Flip patties over and allow second side to dry for an additional hour.
  7. Melt the chocolate chips in a double broiler and dip each pattie into the chocolate.
  8. Allow to dry on waxed paper.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups raw peanuts
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup white Karo syrup
Instructions
  1. Butter a cookie sheet and set aside.
  2. Mix water, sugar, peanuts, and syrup in a large sauce pan and bring to a boil.
  3. Cook on high heat until candy thermometer reaches hard crack stage (310°F). Remove from heat.
  4. Quickly stir in butter first and then add the baking soda and stir until dissolved.
  5. Pour the mixture on the buttered cookie sheet and allow to coll for at least an hour. Mixture will harden as it cools.
  6. Break into pieces and serve.

Ingredients
  • 1½ cups sugar
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 cups rhubarb, chopped fine
Instructions
  1. Cream the butter and sugar together.
  2. Blend the flour and nutmeg into the creamed butter and beat until lump free.
  3. Add rhubarb pieces.
  4. Pour into an unbaked pie shell, top with strips of pastry.
  5. Bake at 425 for 10 minutes, reduce heat to 375 and continue to bake until filling thickens, About 30 more minutes.

Ingredients
  • 2 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. thyme
  • ½ tsp. cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp. black pepper
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 whole chicken
Instructions
  1. Dice onion and place on the bottom of a crock pot.
  2. combine all spices and rum on the skin of the chicken.
  3. Place the chicken in the crock pot and cover with remaining spices.
  4. DO NOT ADD WATER. The chicken will produce more than enough liquid during cooking.
  5. Cook on high for 4-5 hours.
  6. Optional - You can add a little salsa to the crock put for a little zest.
