Ingredients
  • ½ c butter
  • 1 c Karo(light)
  • 2¼ c brown sugar
  • 1 can Eagle Sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 t vanilla
Instructions
  1. Bring butter, Karo and brown sugar to a boil.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Add sweetened condensed milk and vanilla.
  4. Cook to a softball stage, stirring constantly.
  5. Covers about 5 average size batches of popcorn.

Ingredients
  • 1 chocolate cake mix (baked)
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • (you can substitute ½ bottle of butterscotch in place of the sweetened condensed milk)
  • ½ bottle caramel syrup
  • 1 8 oz container Cool Whip
Instructions
  1. Prepare your favorite chocolate cake mix and bake as directed.
  2. Remove from the oven and cool.
  3. Poke holes in the cake with a wooden spoon handle.
  4. Pour the sweetened condensed milk and syrup over the cake soaking it.
  5. Spread the Cool Whip on top. Chill for about 1 hour. If you want, you can add sprinkles or shave chocolate off from your favorite candy bar for decoration.

Ingredients
  • ½ c granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1½ t vanilla, divided
  • 2 c flour
  • 1 2 sticks butter
  • ¾ c confectioners sugar
  • 2 to 3 T heavy whipping cream or milk
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Beat butter and granulated sugar in large bowl with electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Beat in egg and 1 t vanilla. Beat in flour on low speed just until blended.
  3. Roll dough into 1-inch balls with lightly floured hands and arrange on ungreased cookie sheets, 2 inches apart. Gently flatten each ball with bottom of lightly floured flat glass. Bake 12 minutes or until cookie bottoms are lightly golden. Cool completely on wire rack.
  4. Mix confectioners sugar, heavy cream and remaining ½ teaspoon vanilla in small bowl until smooth; spread on cookies and decorate with colored sugars, sprinkles or tinted icing.

  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 5 T cocoa
  • 1 t baking powder
  • ¼ t salt
  • ⅓ c milk
  • ½ t vanilla
  • 1 c flour

  1. Preheat oven to 325.
  2. Mix all ingredients together in the order listed.
  3. Pour in a 8×8 baking pan and bake for 25 minutes or until done.

Ingredients
  • 2-3 bunches broccoli(approx 4 cups)
  • 4-6 green onions, chopped(or red onion)
  • 6-8 slices crumbled bacon
  • 3 + cups red grapes
  • 1 cup peanuts(or favorite nut)
  • 1 cup cheese
  • ½ cup each, mayo & miracle whip
  • ¼ cup each, sugar & vinegar
Instructions
  1. Take a large bowl. Broccoli needs to be broken into small bite size trees. Add onion, grapes and cheese.
  2. Dressing:
  3. Take mayo, miracle whip, sugar, & vinegar and stir until all lumps are gone.
  4. When you’re ready to serve, pour dressing over the salad mixture and add nuts, and bacon bits.

Ingredients
  • 1½ c warm water
  • 2 T sugar
  • 1 T yeast
  • 3½ c flour
  • 1 t salt
  • Topping
  • 1 cube melted butter
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • parsley flakes
  • grated Parmesan cheese
  • kosher
Instructions
  1. Dissolve yeast in water and sugar and let stand for 5 minutes.
  2. Mix until smooth then let raise for 10 minutes.
  3. Roll out dough into a large square on a floured surface.
  4. Brush with melted (real) butter mixed with minced garlic and then sprinkle with kosher salt.
  5. Fold in half and cut into 1 inch strips.
  6. Twist and place on a cooking sheet.
  7. Let sit for 15 to 20 minutes to raise.
  8. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Immediately after baking, brush with more garlic butter and sprinkle with kosher salt, parsley flakes, and grated Parmesan cheese.
  10. Serve with marinara, Alfredo sauce, or ranch for dipping.
  11. Dough also makes a great pizza dough, just roll out into a large circle, add your favorite toppings, and bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.

  • 1½ T Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 T olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 t ground cumin
  • 1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1⅓ c tomato juice
  • ½ t salt
  • 2 T fresh chopped cilantro
Instructions
  1. In a nonstick skillet, cook garlic and cumin in olive oil over medium heat until you can smell it.
  2. Add beans, tomato juice, and salt.
  3. Continually stir until heated through.
  4. Just before serving stir in the cilantro.

Ingredients
  • 1 pkg devil's food, chocolate, or German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 bottle caramel ice cream topping
  • 1 (8 oz.) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 4-5 Health or Skor bars, chopped up
Instructions
  1. Bake cake according to package directions for a 9×13 inch pan; cool for about 5 minutes.
  2. Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes into the cake.
  3. Let the cake cool for a little while.
  4. Slowly pour sweetened condensed milk over the cake, letting it sink into the holes; then drizzle some of the caramel over the top of the cake.
  5. Let cake cool completely (I usually cover it and put it in the fridge for a while).
  6. Top cake with whipped topping. Decorate the top of the cake with candy bar chunks and swirls of caramel topping.
  7. Refrigerate a little longer, then serve!

Ingredients
  • 1 Ib ground beef
  • 1 Ib grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 c chopped onion
  • ½ c chopped parsley
  • ½ chopped red pepper(optional)
  • 1 t salt
  • ½ t pepper
  • 1 T sage
  • 3 eggs well beaten
  • 1 loaf Rhodes Frozen bread (thawed)
Instructions
  1. In a large fry pan, fry ground beef, onion, salt, pepper, and sage.
  2. Cook until well done.
  3. Stir in parsley, egg, red pepper, and cheese and set aside.
  4. Divide thawed loaf into 10 balls of dough.
  5. Roll each ball out into a rectangle shape.
  6. Place a scoop of beef cheese filling onto each piece of dough.
  7. Roll dough around filling and pinch off at both ends creating an enclosed log.
  8. Place on a baking sheet and bake at 375 for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and brush with butter or whipped egg whites.
  10. You can substitute crescent rolls or your favorite tortilla.

  • 1 c fresh lemon juice
  • ½ c honey
  • 1 quart water
  • 1 lemon sliced and frozen(for decoration)
  • red food coloring(optional, use if you want to make it pink lemonade)

  2. Pour into ice filled glasses and garnish with the sliced lemons.

Ingredients
  • 6 pork chops
  • 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • ½ c ketchup
  • 1 t Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ t onion salt
  • ½ t liquid smoke
  • 2 T oil
  • dash of pepper
Instructions
  1. Brown chops in a fry pan with 2 T oil.
  2. Drain fat and season with onion salt and pepper.
  3. In a bowl, mix all remaining ingredients together.
  4. Place chops in a slow cooker and pour sauce over the chops.
  5. Cover and simmer until tender.
  6. Approx 6 hours.

 

Barbequed Beans

Ingredients
  • 1 Ib. kielbasa or hot dogs
  • 1 lg can hot chili
  • 1 16 oz can pork & beans
  • 1 16 oz can Lima buttered beans
  • (drained)
  • ½ bottle barbeque sauce
  • 2 T brown sugar
Instructions
  1. Slice kielbasa in ⅜” slices and fry in a fry pan peeling off skin as they soften, if I use hot dogs, I don’t remove the skin.
  2. Place in a crock pot and add all remaining ingredients and simmer for 3-4 hours.
