Ingredients
  • 1.4 C. sugar
  • ¼ C. brown sugar
  • ¼ C. corn syrup
  • ⅓ C. rice vinnegar
  • 6 oz. pineapple juice
  • ¼ C. soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. corn starch
  • 1 tbsp. ketchup
Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan.
  2. Stir to dissolve all of the sugars.
  3. Cook over medium heat until thick.
  4. Cool before serving.
  5. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for about 2 weeks.

  • 1 tsp. celery salt
  • 1 Tbsp. cumin
  • ½ C. Salt
  • 4 Tbsp. paprika
  • 2 Tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp. pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. dried basil
  • 1 Tbsp. dried parsley
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients and mix well.
  2. Store in a sealed jar or container.
  3. Goes great on burgers, chicken and fish too!

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. Macaroni noodles
  • 1 can chicken meat
  • 1 large can Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • American Cheese slices
  • Butter
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375
  2. Layer half of the noodles on the bottom of a casserole dish.
  3. Cover noodles with half of the Cream of Mushroom soup and half of the chicken.
  4. Place half of the cheese on top, about 6 pieces.
  5. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  6. Bake at 275 until cheese has melted and in cooked all the way through.

Ingredients
  • 1 C. all purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp. baking soda
  • ⅛ tsp. salt
  • 5 Tbsp. butter
  • 7 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
  • ⅔ C. granulated sugar
  • ⅓ C. packed brown sugar
  • ⅓ C. plain low-fat yogurt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • Cooking spray
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Combine flour, soda, and salt and set aside.
  3. Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  4. Remove from heat; stir in cocoa powder and sugars.
  5. Add yogurt and vanilla, stirring to combine.
  6. Add flour mixture last.
  7. Drop by tablespoons 2 inches apart onto baking sheets coated with cooking spray.
  8. Bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Cool on wire racks.

  • 1 C. Water
  • 5 t. flour
  • 1 stick butter
  • ½ C. crisco
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 1 C. sugar
Instructions
  1. in a sauce pan, bring the water and flour to a boil. This will create a paste. Once it begins to boil, remove it from the heat and allow it to cool completely.
  2. Mix remaining ingredients and add flour and water paste.
  3. Beat with a mixer until light and fluffy.

Ingredients
  • 1 Bundle of Kale
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • Seasonings
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350
  2. Wash and completely dry the kale.
  3. Remove the stems from the leaves and tear leaves into small pieces.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil and mix to coat the leaves.
  5. Spread the leaves across a cookie sheet. Make sure that none are touching.
  6. Add whatever seasonings that you like, I use sea salt and garlic powder.
  7. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until leaves begin to turn brown at the edges.
  8. Allow to cool and eat.

 

Turkey Brine

Ingredients
  • 1½ Gallons water
  • 3 C. sea salt, can also use Kosher salt
  • 3 C. sugar, can also use brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp. cracked peppercorns
  • 8 Cloves Garlic
  • 3-4 Bay Leaves, can use more for a stronger flavor.
Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a large pot.
  2. Over high heat, bring to a boil and stir to make sure that all sugars are dissolved.
  3. Remove from heat and allow brine to cool in refrigerator until cold.
  4. Place the turkey in a large pot or bucket deep enough that it will allow the turkey to be completely submerged. Make sure there is room for the container in the refrigerator.
  5. Place the turkey breast down in the pot and cover with the brine solution.
  6. Cover and store in the refrigerator.
  7. Allow the turkey to soak in the brine for 45-60 minutes per pound. For example, a 24 pound turkey would soak for 24 hours.

  • ½ C. corn syrup
  • ½ C. sugar
  • ¾ C. rolled oats
  • ½ C. coconut
  • ½ C. butter, melted
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 unbaked pastry shell
  • ⅔ - 1 C. pecan halves
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350.
  2. Place the pie shell in a pie plate and prick the bottom with a fork
  3. in a large bowl, mix together all of the ingredients except the nuts.
  4. Pour mixture into the crust.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes and remove from the oven.
  6. Arrange pecan halves on the top of the pie and return to the oven for an additional 30 minutes.

  • 1⅔ C. Evaporated Milk
  • ½ C. butter
  • 1 pint marshmallow cream
  • 12 oz. semi sweet chocolate pieces
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 C. nuts (optional)
Instructions
  1. Cook sugar, milk and butter until it reaches the soft ball stage (236 F).
  2. Remove from heat and remaining ingredients.
  3. Beat until all of the chocolate pieces have melted.
  4. Pour into a greased 13x9x2 inch pan.
  5. Cool and cut into pieces.

  • 2 med. zucchini, unpeeled, sliced in ¼ inch slices.
  • 1 med. onion, thinly sliced.
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced.
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced.
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced.
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Garlic powder to taste
  • ¼ tsp. basil
  • ¼ tsp. oregano
  • 6 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Butter the bottom and sides of a 2 qt. casserole dish.
  3. Arrange zucchini slices in dish.
  4. Top with onion slices, green peppers, red peppers and tomato slices.
  5. Sprinkle the top with herbs.
  6. Top with cheese.
  7. Bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes

  3. Cook over medium heat until hot and glazed.

  • ½ C. granulated Sugar
  • 3 oz. pkg cherry Jell-o
  • 3 oz. pkg lemon Jell-o
  • 2½ C. water
  • 8 oz can crushed pineapple
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 sm. orange, quartered and seeded
  • 2 C. fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 C. chopped celery
Instructions
  1. Dissolve sugar and gelatin in boiling water.
  2. Add un-drained pineapple and lemon juice.
  3. Chill until partially set.
  4. Coarse grind the oranges and cranberries, add celery and fold into gelatin.
  5. Pour into 7 cup gelatin mold.
  6. Chill until firm.

  • 4 hard boiled egg whites, cooled and chopped
  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, minced

  • ½ teaspoon sugar

Ingredients
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup white Karo syrup
Instructions
  1. In a large saucepan, combine sugar, water and karo syrup.
  2. Using a candy thermometer, Cook to 250 degrees F. , add raw peanuts and stir.
  3. Bring to 325 degrees F. and remove from heat.
  4. Add 2 Tbsp butter 1½ tsp vanilla ½ tsp salt Stir.
  5. Add 1 Tbsp soda and pour into buttered pan.
  6. Allow to cool completely and crack into pieces.

  • 3 T. cocoa
  • 3 T. flour
  • ½ c. hot water
  • ⅔ c. sugar
  • 2 c. milk
  • pinch salt
Instructions
  1. In a large saucepan, combine cocoa, flour, and sugar.
  2. Add hot water; cook over low heat until dissolved; stirring constantly.
  3. Stir in milk and continue stirring until thickened.
  4. Serve over hot homemade biscuits, noodles, ice cream or pancakes.
