Chocolate Pretzel Rings

Ingredients
  • 1 bag small pretzel rings
  • 1 bag Rolo or Reece's Peanut Butter Cups
  • M & M's to garnish, or a nut(just whatever)
  • paper cupcake liners
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 250.
  2. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Place pretzels on a the cookie sheet 1½ inches apart.
  4. Place pan in oven and heat for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven and place a piece of candy in the center of each pretzel.
  6. Return to oven and bake 3-4 minutes, or until candy is soft, not melted.
  7. Remove from oven and garnish with whatever the occasion maybe.
  8. Cool.
  9. These can also be placed in a cupcake liner.

Ingredients
  • 1 c shortening
  • 1 c white sugar
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c milk
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 2 t baking powder
  • 1 t baking soda
  • ½ t salt
  • 4½ cups flour
  • 1 sm pkg chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add ingredients in the order listed.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Drop by spoonful onto a cookie sheet.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes.

 

Cherry Salad

Ingredients
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1 sm can crushed pineapple
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 t lemon juice
  • 1 small container cottage cheese
  • ¼ c chopped walnuts
  • 1 12 oz container cool whip
Instructions
  1. In one bowl, mix cherry pie filling and pineapple together.
  2. In another bowl, mix sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice, cottage cheese, and nuts. Then add to cherry mixture.
  3. Fold in Cool Whip. Chill.

 

Cherry Dessert

Ingredients
  • 21 ounces cherry pie filling, divided
  • 1½ c boiling water
  • 1 sm package jello gelatin, cherry flavored
  • 1½ c cold water
  • 4 c angel food cake, cubes
  • 3 c cold milk
  • 1 sm pkg instant vanilla pudding
  • 12 oz cool whip, divided
Instructions
  1. Reserve ⅓ cup cherry pie filling for garnish. Set aside.
  2. Stir boiling water into dry jello mix in large bowl at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved, then stir in cold water and remaining cherry pie filling.
  3. Refrigerate 45 minutes or until slightly thickened.
  4. Place cake cubes in a 3 quart serving bowl.
  5. Spoon jello mixture over cake.
  6. Refrigerate 45 minutes or until set but not firm.
  7. Pour milk into large bowl and add dry pudding mixes. Beat with wire whisk 2 minutes. Gently stir in 2 cups of the cool whip.
  8. Spoon over jello mixture in bowl.
  9. Refrigerate 2 hours or until set.
  10. Top with remaining cool whip and reserved cherry pie filling.

Ingredients
  • 1 8 oz pkg softened cream cheese
  • ⅓ c sugar
  • ½ c sour cream
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1 4 oz container Cool Whip
  • 1 graham cracker crust
  • 1 bottle of caramel ice cream topping or your favorite topping
Instructions
  1. Mix all ingredients until blended well.
  2. Pour in graham cracker crust and chill for approx 4 hours.

Ingredients
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c oil
  • 1 t salt, soda, and cinnamon
  • 1 t baking powder
  • 3 c grated carrots
  • 2 c flour
  • 1 c chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
  1. Beat the first six ingredients together. Then add carrots, continue mixing and add flour and walnuts. Pour into a 13 × 9 pan and bake at 350 for 35-40 Min.

  6. powdered sugar-add enough to desired spreading consistency
  7. Sprinkle with chopped nuts and coconut.

  • 1 egg
  • 5 T cocoa
  • 1 t baking powder
  • ¼ t salt
  • ⅓ c milk
  • ½ t vanilla
  • 1 c flour
  • ½ c chopped walnuts

  1. Preheat oven to 325.
  2. Mix all ingredients together in the order listed.
  3. Pour in a 8×8 baking pan and bake for 25 minutes or until done.

 

Better Than Sex Cake

Ingredients
  • 1 pkg devil's food, chocolate, or German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 bottle caramel ice cream topping
  • 1 (8 oz.) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 4-5 Health or Skor bars, chopped up
Instructions
  1. Bake cake according to package directions for a 9×13 inch pan; cool for about 5 minutes.
  2. Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes into the cake.
  3. Let the cake cool for a little while.
  4. Slowly pour sweetened condensed milk over the cake, letting it sink into the holes; then drizzle some of the caramel over the top of the cake.
  5. Let cake cool completely (I usually cover it and put it in the fridge for a while).
  6. Top cake with whipped topping. Decorate the top of the cake with candy bar chunks and swirls of caramel topping.
  7. Refrigerate a little longer, then serve!

 

Angel Fruit Cake

Ingredients
  • ½ c sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ c cold water
  • 1 pkg instant vanilla pudding
  • (do not follow pkg instructions)
  • 1 12 oz Cool Whip
  • 1 angel food cake cubed (set aside)
  • 1 pkg Danish Dessert (follow pkg instructions)
  • 2 Ib. sliced strawberries, leave one whole for final garnish
Instructions
  1. Mix the first 3 ingredients together until stiff.
  2. Fold in Cool Whip and place in the fridge for 30 minutes until chilled.
  3. After the mixture is chilled, reserve ¼ cup of the mixture for the final garnish.
  4. Prepare Danish Dessert and fold in strawberries.
  5. Place in fridge and chill until mixture starts to thicken, about 1 hour.
  6. In a nice glass bowl, layer pudding mixture, cake cubes, and strawberry mixture. Continue repeating these steps until all ingredients are gone.

Ingredients
  • 2 c. sliced and peeled peaches
  • 2 c. raspberries
  • ¾ c. sugar
  • 2 tbsp. water
  • vanilla ice cream
Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan, bring peaches, raspberries, sugar and water to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Reduce the heat and let simmer for and additional five minutes.
  3. Serve over ice cream.

 

Marzipan

Ingredients
  • 8-oz. can almond paste
  • 2 egg whites
  • ½ tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. confectioners' sugar
Instructions
  1. Combine almond paste, egg whites and vanilla.
  2. Slowly add confectioners sugar until you have reached a stiff manageable consistency.
  3. Allow to sit overnight in the refrigerator to stiffen up.
  4. Can be molded into different shapes as desired.

 

Peppermint Patties

Ingredients
  • 14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tbsp. peppermint extract
  • 6 c. confectioners sugar
  • Additional confectioners sugar
  • 1½ lbs. semi sweet chocolate chips, melted
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, extract and sugar and mix until smooth.
  2. Turn out mixture onto surface well sprinkled with confectioners sugar.
  3. Shape into 1-inch balls and place them on wax paper.
  4. Flatten each ball into an 1½-inch patty.
  5. Let dry one hour.
  6. Flip patties over and allow second side to dry for an additional hour.
  7. Melt the chocolate chips in a double broiler and dip each pattie into the chocolate.
  8. Allow to dry on waxed paper.

 

Peanut Brittle

Ingredients
  • 2 cups raw peanuts
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup white Karo syrup
Instructions
  1. Butter a cookie sheet and set aside.
  2. Mix water, sugar, peanuts, and syrup in a large sauce pan and bring to a boil.
  3. Cook on high heat until candy thermometer reaches hard crack stage (310°F). Remove from heat.
  4. Quickly stir in butter first and then add the baking soda and stir until dissolved.
  5. Pour the mixture on the buttered cookie sheet and allow to coll for at least an hour. Mixture will harden as it cools.
  6. Break into pieces and serve.
