Apple Danish

Ingredients
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • ⅓ C. powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 apple, peeled, cored and sliced thin
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 pkgs. refrigerated crescent rolls
Instructions
  1. Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar and egg together.
  2. Arrange the crescent rolls on the bottom of a large baking dish.
  3. Spread half of the cream cheese mix on center of each crescent roll.
  4. Top with apples and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
  5. Top off the apples with the remaining cream cheese mix.
  6. Pull excess crescent roll dough up and over the filling.
  7. Bake at 375 for 25 minutes or until golden brown.

 

Cottage Cheese and Jello

Ingredients
  • 1 small pkg. strawberry banana jello
  • 1 med. pkg. cool whip
  • 1 can crushed pineapple
  • 1 small carton cottage cheese
Instructions
  1. Mix all ingredients together and refrigerate before serving.

Ingredients
  • 1 C. flour
  • 1½ C. milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. oil
  • 2 tsp. lemon peel
  • ⅛ tsp. salt
Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients and mix with an electric mixer until smooth.
  2. Cook in a well greased or buttered skillet flipping only once.
  3. Fill with vanilla pudding and top with a spoonful of whipped cream and berries.

 

Swedish Apple Pie

Ingredients
  • 6-8 apples, sliced
  • 1-2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 cube margarine
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ¾ C. sugar
  • ⅛ tsp. salt
  • 1 C. flour
Instructions
  1. Coat apples with cinnamon and sugar.
  2. Place apples in a buttered 9X13 pan.
  3. Mix remaining ingredients and drop b spoonfuls onto apples
  4. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes.
  5. For the topping, in a large sauce pan, combine 1 C. sugar, 2 tbsp. cornstarch and ½ tsp. salt.
  6. Cook over high heat and gradually add in 2 C. water and bring to a boil.
  7. Once boiling, remove from heat and add ¼ tsp. nutmeg, 2 tbsp. butter and 1 tsp. vanilla.
  8. Mix well and pour over the apples.

 

Raspberry Parfait

Ingredients
  • 6 oz. package vanilla pudding
  • ½ C. sour cream
  • 1½ C. milk
Instructions
  1. Mix ingredients as usual.
  2. Layer with defrosted frozen raspberries in dessert glasses.

Ingredients
  • 1 large package black cherry jello
  • 20 oz. can crushed pineapple, do not drain
  • 15 oz. blueberries, drained and mashed
  • 1 C. sour cream
  • 1 C. cream cheese
  • ½ C. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
Instructions
  1. Dissolve jello in 2 cups of boiling water.
  2. Stir in pineapples and blueberries.
  3. Pour into a 8x13 dish and place in refrigerator to set.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine remaining ingredients for topping.
  5. Spread topping over the jello once it has set.

 

Crustless Quiche

Ingredients
  • ½ lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1½ C. Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 1½ C. half and half (Can use milk)
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. pepper
  • ½ tsp. dry mustard
Instructions
  1. Saute green onions in butter and mix with bacon and Swiss cheese.
  2. Grease a 9x9 pie plate and layer bacon and cheese in the bottom.
  3. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over the top of the bacon and cheese.
  4. Bake at 375 for 45 minutes.

Ingredients
  • 4 pkg. frozen cauliflower
  • ½ C. onions, chopped
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 C. mayonnaise
  • 1 C. cheese, grated
  • 1 C. mushrooms
Instructions
  1. Cook vegetables slightly to thaw.
  2. Mix sauce and layer between the vegetables.
  3. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.

Ingredients
  • 1 C. brown sugar
  • ½ C. butter, melted
  • 3 tsp. ground cinnamon, divided
  • 3 tart apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
  • ½ C. dried cranberries or raisins
  • 1 loaf French bread cut into 1 inch slices
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1½ C. milk
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla
Instructions
  1. Combine brown sugar, butter and 1 tsp. cinnamon in a 9X13 casserole dish.
  2. Add apples and cranberries or raisins and toss to coat well.
  3. Spread apple mixture evenly over the bottom of the dish.
  4. Arrange slices of bread on the top.
  5. Mix the eggs, milk, vanilla and remaining cinnamon.
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the bread making sure to get all of the bread covered.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for 4-24 hours.
  8. Bake covered at 375 for 40 minutes.
  9. Uncover and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  10. Let stand for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Ingredients
  • 2½ C. croutons
  • 2 C. mild cheddar cheese
  • 2 lbs. Hormel Little Sizzlers
  • 4 eggs
  • ¾ tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2½ C. milk
  • 1 small can mushrooms
Instructions
  1. Place croutons in a greased 9X13 casserole dish.
  2. Top with cheese.
  3. Cook sausage until brown and drain.
  4. Place sausage on cheese.
  5. Beat eggs, blend in soup and milk.
  6. Pour egg mixture over sausage.
  7. Bake at 300 for 1 hour 30 minutes.

  • 1 lb. ground sausage
  • 5 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 C. milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 2 slices bread, crushed and crumbled
  • 1 C. cheddar cheese, grated
Instructions
  1. Brown sausage in a skillet and drain off the fat.
  2. Mix all ingredients together and pour into a casserole dish.
  3. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
  4. Serves 6-8

 

Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients
  • 8 slices white bread
  • ¼ Lb. cubed ham
  • ⅛ Lb. cooked sausage
  • ⅛ Lb. cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1 small can green chilies, diced
  • 2 C. sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 C. milk
  • ½ tsp. dry mustard
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. pepper
  • ½ tsp. Tabasco sauce
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
Instructions
  1. Break the bread into small pieces and put in the bottom of a greased 9X13 casserole dish.
  2. Spread the meat over the bread and sprinkle with cheese.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the remaining ingredients and mix well.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the meat and bread.
  5. Cover and allow to sit overnight in the refrigerator.
  6. Next morning, bake uncovered until the eggs have set.

 

Coconut Chicken

Ingredients
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut in half
  • ⅔ c. Bisquick
  • ⅔ c. flaked coconut
  • ½ tsp. paprika
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 2 tbsp. dry ground mustard
  • Pepper to taste
  • ½ c. sweetened condensed milk
  • ¼ c. butter, melted
Instructions
  1. In one bowl, combine the Bisquick, coconut, paprika, salt, pepper and mustard.
  2. In a second bowl, combine the milk and butter.
  3. Dredge each piece of chicken in the milk mixture and then the coconut mixture and place in an oven safe dish.
  4. Bake at 375 for 35-40 minutes.

 

Smokey BBQ sauce

  • 2 tbsp. liquid smoke
  • Sm. onion, chopped fine
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • ½ c. water
  • 2 tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ c. fresh lemon juice
  • 6 tbsp. chili powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 12 oz. chili sauce or ketchup
Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients and let sit in fridge as long as possible before serving.

 

Barbecue Beef Brisket

Ingredients
  • 6 lb. Beef Brisket
  • 3 tbsp. liquid smoke
  • 2 tbsp. Garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp. Onion salt
  • 1 tsp. Celery salt
  • 3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Barbecue sauce
Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients except the barbecue sauce and spread over the brisket.
  2. Seal the brisket in foil and let marinate in fridge overnight.
  3. Next day, place the sealed packet in the oven and cook for 5 hours at 275 degrees.
  4. Remove brisket from foil and place in a shallow dish.
  5. Cover brisket with BBQ sauce and cover with foil.
  6. Bake for an additional 1 hour.
