Ingredients
- 2 C. flour
- 2 C. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- ½ tsp. salt
- ½ C. nuts
- 2 C. pitted sweet cherries
- 2 tsp. cherry juice
- 2 eggs
Instructions
- Combine all of the dry ingredients first and add the wet ingredients.
- Bake in a square pan at 350 for 45 minutes
- Topping:
- tsp. cornstarch
- C. brown sugar
- C. water
- tbsp. butter
- tsp. vanilla
- Combine all topping ingredients in a sauce pan and bring to a boil.
- Boil for two minutes.
- Pour cake while the cake is still warm.
