Ingredients
- 3-4 cups all purpose flour
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- ¼ cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- powdered sugar
- vegetable oil (for deep frying - heat to 375°F)
Instructions
- Beat the eggs first and then add the sugar and milk. Sift 2 cups of flour, the salt, and the baking powder and add to the milk, sugar, and egg mixture. Add more flour until batter is smooth and not too thick.
- Pour the batter into a funnel or piping bag and use to pour the batter into the oil making a circle about 6 inches round. Be careful not to splash, the oil will be hot.
- Turn the cake when the bottom becomes golden brown.
- When both sides are done, remove and top with powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar.
