Buttermilk Brownies

Ingredients
  • 1 C. butter
  • ⅓ C. unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 C. water
  • 2 C. all purpose flour
  • 2 C. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • ½ C. buttermilk
  • 1½ tsp. vanilla
Instructions
  1. In a saucepan, combine the butter, cocoa powder and water.
  2. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly and remove from the heat.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda and salt.
  4. Stir in the eggs, buttermilk and vanilla.
  5. Add the cocoa mixture and mix well.
  6. Pour into two greased 9x9x2 pans.
  7. Bake at 375 for 20 minutes.
  8. Frost with buttermilk frosting.
  9. Makes 60 bars

Ingredients
  • 1 C. square pretzels
  • 1 C. Rolo's candy
  • 1 C. pecan halves
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350
  2. Place the pretzels on a cookie sheet and top each with a Rolo candy.
  3. Place in the oven for about 30 seconds until the chocolate looks shinny.
  4. Pull out of the oven and press a pecan half into the Rolo.
  5. Allow to cook before serving

Ingredients
  • 1 stick butter
  • ¼ c. cocoa
  • ½ c. milk
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla
  • ½ c. peanut butter
  • 3 c. oats
Instructions
  1. Boil butter, cocoa, milk, sugar, vanilla and peanut butter for 1 minute.
  2. Add oats and mix well.
  3. Spoon out onto wax paper.

 

Triple Chocolate Fudge

Ingredients
  • ½ c. butter
  • 4½ c. sugar
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 4½ c. mini marshmallows
  • 2 c. chocolate chips (semi-sweet)
  • 1 12 oz. bar sweet baking chocolate, chopped
  • 2 1 oz. squares unsweetened chocolate, chopped
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 c. nuts, chopped (Optional)
Instructions
  1. Line a brownie-sized baking pan with wax paper or foil, covering sides of pan. Spray with non-stick spray or grease foil with butter.
  2. Combine butter, sugar, and evaporated milk (do not use sweetened condensed milk) in a saucepan stirring over medium heat until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved.
  3. While constantly stirring, turn to high heat and allow to reach a rolling boil. Once mixture is boiling, stop stirring and allow to boil for an additional 5 minutes, then remove pan from heat.
  4. Stir in marshmallows; when melted, add chocolate and continue to stir until all is melted and well combined. Stir in chopped nuts.
  5. Immediately spread mixture in the lined baking pan. Allow to cool before cutting.

Ingredients
  • ⅔ C. margarine
  • 1⅔ C. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • 2 C. flour
  • ⅔ C. cocoa
  • 1¼ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • 1⅓ C. water
Instructions
  1. Beat together the margarine, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  3. Bake in a 9x13 greased pan at 350 for 30-35 minutes.

Ingredients
  • 1½ c. chocolate chips
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • Dash salt
  • ½ c. chopped nuts
  • 1½ tsp. vanilla
Instructions
  1. In saucepan over low heat melt chips with sweetened condensed milk and salt.
  2. Remove from heat. Stir in nuts and vanilla.
  3. Spread evenly into wax paper lined 8" square pan.
  4. Chill 2 hours or until firm.
  5. Turn onto cutting board.
  6. Peel off wax paper.
  7. Cut into squares.

Ingredients
  • ½ c. cashews
  • 1 can shoe string potatoes
  • 6 oz. chocolate chips
  • 6 oz. peanut butterscotch chips
  • 2 tbsp. peanut butter
Instructions
  1. Melt chips and peanut butter in microwave.
  2. Add potatoes and cashews.
  3. Drop by tbsp. onto greased cookie sheet.
  4. Store in refrigerator and serve cold.

  • ½ c. butter
  • ½ c. brown sugar
  • ¼ c. white sugar
  • ½ tsp. vanilla

  1. Mix all ingredients and bake at 325 degrees for 6 minutes.

  • ½ c. cocoa
  • 1 c. sugar
  • ½ c. powdered milk
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 4 c. water
  • 4 tbsp. cornstarch
  • ½ tsp. vanilla
  • 3 tbsp. butter
Instructions
  1. Mix all ingredients except butter and vanilla together.
  2. Cook in microwave stirring every once in a while until thick.
  3. When done, add vanilla and butter.

  • 1 sm. can of condensed milk
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • ¼ lb. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. coconut flakes
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
Instructions
  1. Combine above ingredients except nuts and coconut.
  2. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture thickens.
  3. Add coconut and pecans.
  4. Let cool and spread.

Ingredients
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1½ c. flour
  • ⅓ c. cocoa
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 lg. pkg. marshmallows
  • 1 c. shortening
  • 4 eggs
  • ¼ tsp. salt
Instructions
  1. Cream sugar and shortening.
  2. Beat in eggs by hand. Sift flour, cocoa and salt together.
  3. Add to creamed mixture.
  4. Add vanilla and nuts.
  5. Pour into a greased and floured oblong cake pan.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes in 300 degree oven.
  7. Sprinkle cake with rows of marshmallows.
  8. Increase oven to 350 degrees and bake for 10 minutes longer.
  9. Cool cake completely before icing.
  10. Frosting:
  11. box powdered sugar
  12. stick butter, melted
  13. /4 c. milk
  14. /3 c. cocoa
  15. tsp. vanilla
  16. Sift powdered sugar and cocoa.
  17. Add melted butter, milk and vanilla.
  18. Stir in nuts and spread on cake.

  • C. butter
  • 1 ½ C. graham crackers
  • C. coconut
  • 1 C. chocolate chips
  • 1 C. nuts
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
Instructions
  1. Melt butter in cake pan add remaining ingredients in layers.
  2. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes
  3. Cut into squares

Ingredients
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. Karo syrup, light
  • 4 tsp. sifted baking soda
  • 1 bag candy chocolate (the kind used in candy molds)
Instructions
  1. Heat sugar and syrup on medium heat to 300 degrees, using candy thermometer.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Briskly stir in sifted soda. Mixture will bubble up rapidly - continue to mix thoroughly.
  4. Pour into foil-lined 9 x 13 inch pan.
  5. Cool completely.
  6. Cut or break into pieces.
  7. Melt chocolate.
  8. Dip candy pieces into chocolate and cool on wax paper.

This candy is also known as Sea Foam Candy.

Milk Chocolate Truffles

Ingredients
  • 9 oz. chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp. unsalted butter
  • ⅓ c. heavy cream
  • 1 c. unsweetened cocoa
Instructions
  1. Melt chocolate chips and butter and mix together.
  2. Add cream and stir until smooth.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for about 5 hours.
  4. When mixture has set, scoop a teaspoon of mixture and roll into a ball and then roll in cocoa.

 

English Toffee Pudding

Ingredients
  • 2 c. confectioners sugar
  • 2 tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1¾ c. vanilla wafers, crushed
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • ½ c. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped nuts (Any type you prefer)
  • Whipped topping
Instructions
  1. Cream butter and mix in sugar, salt, cocoa,egg yolks, nuts and vanilla.
  2. Beat whites until stiff and fold into mixture. in an 8 x 8 pan, put ½ of the cookie crumbs in bottom and pour mixture over top.
  3. Sprinkle the second half of the crumbs on the top.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.
  5. Serve with whipped topping.
