Ingredients
  • 1½ pt. strawberries, sliced
  • 1½ C. sugar
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 8 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 2 bananas, sliced
  • 1 C. pecans, chopped
  • 1 small carton cool whip
Instructions
  1. Mix strawberries and 1 cup sugar and let sit.
  2. Mix remaining ingredients except cool whip.
  3. Add strawberries to the mix.
  4. Fold in the cool whip and refrigerate.

Ingredients
  • 2 large packages of strawberry jello
  • 1 pt. heavy whipping cream
  • Frozen berries to taste
Instructions
  1. Mix jello and let set hard.
  2. Beat real cream separately.
  3. Beat jello with a beater.
  4. Add thawed berries
  5. Fold in whipped cream.

Ingredients
  • 1 C. sugar
  • 3 tbsp. water
  • 1 tbsp. Karo syrup
  • 1½ C. butter
  • ¾ C. nuts
  • ½ C. chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Place sugar, water, syrup and butter in a pan.
  2. Cook to hard crack stage using a candy thermometer.
  3. In the bottom of an 8x8 pan, place nuts and chocolate chips.
  4. Pour the candy mixture over the top of the nut mixture.
  5. Let candy harden and turn out of pan.

Ingredients
  • 1 whole chicken, cooked and de-boned
  • 1 pkg. stuffing mix
  • 1 can carrots, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup
  • ¾ C. mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • Parmesan cheese
Instructions
  1. Prepare the stuffing according to the box instructions.
  2. Layer the stuffing, chicken, carrots, salt and pepper in a casserole dish.
  3. Mix, soup, mayonnaise and lemon juice and pour over the top of the chicken.
  4. Top with Parmesan cheese.
  5. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes.

 

King Ranch Chicken

Ingredients
  • 1 whole chicken, cooked and de-boned
  • Garlic salt to taste
  • Chili Powder to taste
  • 1 pkg. corn tortillas
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 C. chicken broth
  • ½ C. green pepper, diced
  • 2 tbsp. onion, minced
  • 2 C. cheese, grated
  • ½ jar picante sauce
Instructions
  1. Cut tortillas into triangles.
  2. Sprinkle garlic salt and chili powder on the chicken.
  3. in a greased casserole dish, layer in the following order: Chicken, tortillas, pepper, soup, broth and cheese.
  4. Do 2 layers to complete.
  5. Top with picante sauce and cover dish with foil.
  6. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes covered and 30 minutes uncovered.

Ingredients
  • 1 whole chicken, cooked and boned
  • 1 C. rice, cooked in 1 C. chicken broth
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 pkgs. frozen chopped broccoli
  • 1 lb. Velveeta cheese
  • ¼ C. onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. Sauté the onions.
  2. Cook broccoli per direction.
  3. Mix chicken, rice, broccoli and onions.
  4. Melt cheese in the soup and pour over the chicken and rice.
  5. Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes.

Ingredients
  • 60 caramel candies
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 bag large marshmallows
  • Rice Krispies
Instructions
  1. Melt the caramels, margarine and milk together.
  2. Place a toothpick in the center of a large marshmallow and dip in the caramel.
  3. Roll in rice krispies.
  4. Continue until entire bag of marshmallows is used.

  • ¼ C. butter
  • 3 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp. buttermilk
  • 2¼ C. powdered sugar
  • ½ C. chopped walnuts
  • ½ tsp. vanilla
Instructions
  1. In a saucepan, mix the butter, cocoa powder and buttermilk.
  2. Cook until boiling and remove from heat.
  3. Beat in remaining ingredients.

Ingredients
  • 1 C. butter
  • ⅓ C. unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 C. water
  • 2 C. all purpose flour
  • 2 C. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • ½ C. buttermilk
  • 1½ tsp. vanilla
Instructions
  1. In a saucepan, combine the butter, cocoa powder and water.
  2. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly and remove from the heat.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda and salt.
  4. Stir in the eggs, buttermilk and vanilla.
  5. Add the cocoa mixture and mix well.
  6. Pour into two greased 9x9x2 pans.
  7. Bake at 375 for 20 minutes.
  8. Frost with buttermilk frosting.
  9. Makes 60 bars

Ingredients
  • 2 C. zucchini, grated
  • 2 C. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 C. oil
  • 4 C. flour
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 C. nuts
  • 2 C. raisins (optional)
Instructions
  1. Thoroughly combine zucchini, sugar, baking soda and oil.
  2. Beat in eggs.
  3. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  4. Drop by teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 375 for 12-15 minutes.

Ingredients
  • 1 C. sugar
  • ½ C. shortening
  • 1 egg
  • ½ C. milk
  • 3½ C. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • ½ tsp. salt
Instructions
  1. Cream the sugar and shortening.
  2. Add egg and milk and mix well.
  3. Sift in dry ingredients and add vanilla.
  4. Roll into a ball and roll out.
  5. Cut out desired shapes with a cookie cutter.
  6. Bake at 375 for 5-7 minutes.
  7. Makes 45 cookies.

Ingredients
  • ½ C. margarine
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 C. flour
  • ¾ tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 C. brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 C. walnuts
  • 18 candy orange slices
Instructions
  1. Mix eggs, sugar and margarine together.
  2. Add flour, salt and baking powder.
  3. Cut up orange slices into small pieces and add to the mixture.
  4. Put mixture into a jelly roll pan and bake at 325 for 25-30 minutes.
  5. Frost with a powdered sugar frosting.

Ingredients
  • 1 pkg. fresh cranberries, ground coarsely
  • 1 orange, peeled and ground
  • 1 lemon, peeled and ground
  • 1 can crushed pineapple
  • 1 C. chopped nuts
Instructions
  1. Mix all ingredients and sweeten to the taste with sugar.
  2. Make at least 1 day before serving.

Ingredients
  • 3 C. cooked chicken
  • 1 C. salad macaroni, cooked
  • 2 C. frozen peas
  • 1 C. carrots, shredded
  • ½ C. slivered almonds
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ¼ C. green olives, chopped
  • ¼ C. sweet relish
  • 1 C. onions, chopped
  • 2 eggs, hard boiled and chopped
  • ¼ tsp. pepper
  • ¾ C. pineapple tidbits, drained
  • 3 C. mayonnaise
  • ½ C. sour cream.
Instructions
  1. Mix all ingredients except the noodles together.
  2. Chill well in the refrigerator.
  3. Add noodles just before serving.

 

Chinese Chicken Salad

Ingredients
  • 1 head lettuce, shredded
  • 3 chicken breasts, cooked and diced
  • ½ C. slivered almonds
  • ¼ C. sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 4 oz. rice sticks, pre fried in hot oil
  • 4 tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 4 tbsp. vinegar
  • ½ tsp. pepper
  • ½ C. vegetable oil
Instructions
  1. In a saucepan, combine the sugar, salt, vinegar, salt and pepper and heat.
  2. Add ½ C. vegetable oil to the sauce.
  3. In a wok, add 1 tbsp. oil, almonds and sesame seeds and fry until toasted.
  4. Add onions and chicken to the wok and fry for 1 minute.
  5. Place rice sticks and chicken over the top of the lettuce, add dressing and toss.
