Ingredients
- 1 C. Sugar
- 1 C. Shortening
- 1 C. Light molasses
- 1 C. sour milk
- 4 eggs
- 4 C. flour
- tsp. allspice
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 C. raisins
- C. nut
Instructions
- Cream together the first four ingredients. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
- Store in refrigerator in a covered container.
- Bake as needed 20 minutes at 350
- Makes 4 doz.
- Batter will keep 4-5 weeks.
