Crock Pot Mac and Cheese

Ingredients
- 1 package elbow macaroni
- 2 tbsp. butter
- ¼ c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. dry mustard
- ¼ tsp. pepper
- Garlic powder to taste.
- 2½ c. milk
- 2 c. grated Cheddar cheese for sauce
- Additional Cheddar cheese for macaroni
Instructions
- In a saucepan, cook macaroni until done al dente and drain.
- Turn Crock pot to High setting.
- Combine flour, salt, dry mustard, garlic powder, pepper and milk. Microwave on High setting until it begins to thicken. Do not overcook or milk will curdle.
- Stir in butter and 2 cups Cheddar cheese, stirring until cheese melts.
- Butter the sides and bottom of pot. Place a layer of macaroni and layer of extra cheese until all macaroni of the macaroni has been used.
- Cook on High setting for about 30 minutes.
- Turn to Low setting and cook for 2 hours.
