Sugar Cookies

- 1 C. sugar
- ½ C. shortening
- 1 egg
- ½ C. milk
- 3½ C. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- ½ tsp. salt
- Cream the sugar and shortening.
- Add egg and milk and mix well.
- Sift in dry ingredients and add vanilla.
- Roll into a ball and roll out.
- Cut out desired shapes with a cookie cutter.
- Bake at 375 for 5-7 minutes.
- Makes 45 cookies.

Orange Slice bars

- ½ C. margarine
- 4 eggs
- 2 C. flour
- ¾ tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 C. brown sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 C. walnuts
- 18 candy orange slices
- Mix eggs, sugar and margarine together.
- Add flour, salt and baking powder.
- Cut up orange slices into small pieces and add to the mixture.
- Put mixture into a jelly roll pan and bake at 325 for 25-30 minutes.
- Frost with a powdered sugar frosting.

- shredded carrots
- 1 can crushed pineapple
- 1 can mandarin oranges
- Mix all ingredients and refrigerate.

Pumpkin Cookies

- ½ C. shortening
- 1½ C. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 C. pumpkin
- 2½ C. flour
- ½ C. nuts (Optional)
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 pkg, chocolate chips.
- Cream the shortening, sugar and egg together.
- Add remaining ingredients.
- Drop on a greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes.

Strawberry Surprise

- 10 oz. frozen strawberries, partially thawed
- 1 qt. strawberry yogurt
- ½ C. milk
- ¼ C. sugar
- Blend strawberries in milk until smooth.
- Add sugar and yogurt and blend on low until thick and smooth.
- Serve immediately.

Strawberry Salad

- 2 pkg. strawberry jello
- 1 C. hot water
- 1 large can crushed pineapple, drained
- 3 bananas, sliced
- Combine all ingredients mixing the jello and water first.
- Chill before serving.

Heavenly Hash Dessert

- 8 oz. can pineapple tidbits, drained
- 2 C. cool whip
- 1 C. coconut
- 1 C. small marshmallows
- ¼ C. maraschino cherries, chopped
- 3 tbsp. milk
- Combine all ingredients and chill for 1 hour before serving.

Sticky Buns

- 30-40 Frozen rolls
- ½ pkg. butterscotch pudding mix
- ½ C. brown sugar
- ½ C. melted butter
- 1 tbsp. cinnamon
- ½ C. sugar
- Arrange rolls in a greased Bundt pan.
- Mix together pudding mix and brown sugar and pour over the rolls.
- Combine remaining ingredients and pour over the rolls.
- Cover and allow to sit overnight in the refrigerator.
- Bake uncovered at 350 for 30-40 minutes.
- Invert onto a plate as soon as it comes out of the oven.

Apple Danish

- 8 oz. cream cheese
- ⅓ C. powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 apple, peeled, cored and sliced thin
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- ½ tsp. cinnamon
- 2 pkgs. refrigerated crescent rolls
- Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar and egg together.
- Arrange the crescent rolls on the bottom of a large baking dish.
- Spread half of the cream cheese mix on center of each crescent roll.
- Top with apples and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
- Top off the apples with the remaining cream cheese mix.
- Pull excess crescent roll dough up and over the filling.
- Bake at 375 for 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Cottage Cheese and Jello

- 1 small pkg. strawberry banana jello
- 1 med. pkg. cool whip
- 1 can crushed pineapple
- 1 small carton cottage cheese
- Mix all ingredients together and refrigerate before serving.

Dessert Crepes

- 1 C. flour
- 1½ C. milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 1 tbsp. oil
- 2 tsp. lemon peel
- ⅛ tsp. salt
- Combine all ingredients and mix with an electric mixer until smooth.
- Cook in a well greased or buttered skillet flipping only once.
- Fill with vanilla pudding and top with a spoonful of whipped cream and berries.

Swedish Apple Pie

- 6-8 apples, sliced
- 1-2 tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 cube margarine
- 1 egg, beaten
- ¾ C. sugar
- ⅛ tsp. salt
- 1 C. flour
- Coat apples with cinnamon and sugar.
- Place apples in a buttered 9X13 pan.
- Mix remaining ingredients and drop b spoonfuls onto apples
- Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes.
- For the topping, in a large sauce pan, combine 1 C. sugar, 2 tbsp. cornstarch and ½ tsp. salt.
- Cook over high heat and gradually add in 2 C. water and bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, remove from heat and add ¼ tsp. nutmeg, 2 tbsp. butter and 1 tsp. vanilla.
- Mix well and pour over the apples.

Raspberry Parfait

- 6 oz. package vanilla pudding
- ½ C. sour cream
- 1½ C. milk
- Mix ingredients as usual.
- Layer with defrosted frozen raspberries in dessert glasses.

Blueberry Surprise

- 1 large package black cherry jello
- 20 oz. can crushed pineapple, do not drain
- 15 oz. blueberries, drained and mashed
- 1 C. sour cream
- 1 C. cream cheese
- ½ C. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Dissolve jello in 2 cups of boiling water.
- Stir in pineapples and blueberries.
- Pour into a 8x13 dish and place in refrigerator to set.
- In a separate bowl, combine remaining ingredients for topping.
- Spread topping over the jello once it has set.
