Ingredients
  • ¾ c sugar
  • ¾ c brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c shortening
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1 t each soda, salt, baking powder
  • 1 c oats
  • 2 c flour
  • 1 c chocolate chips
  • nuts(optional)
Instructions
  1. Drop by spoonful onto a baking sheet.
  2. Bake @ 350 for 10-12 min.

Ingredients
  • ½ c soft margarine
  • ½ c peanut butter
  • ½ c brown sugar
  • ¼ c white sugar
  • 3 T white sugar
  • 1 T vanilla
  • ¼ T salt
  • 1¾ c flour
  • 1 T baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pkg Hershey Kisses
Instructions
  1. Cream butter, peanut butter, both brown and ¼ c white sugar, egg, vanilla, & salt.
  2. Add flour. Roll into 1” balls.
  3. Place the 3 T of white sugar in a bowl.
  4. Roll each cookie in the sugar and place the cookie on the baking sheet.
  5. Bake at 350 for 8 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and place a Hershey Kiss in the center of the cookie.

Ingredients
  • 1 12 oz pkg butterscotch chips
  • 1 c peanut butter(you can use chunky)
  • 1 c miniature marshmallows
  • 4 c chow mein noodles
Instructions
  1. Melt chips in double boiler or microwave 1 minute at a time to prevent scorching.
  2. Mix in peanut butter, then remove from heat source.
  3. Mix in marshmallows until melted then add noodles.
  4. Spoon onto wax paper to harden. Makes about 25.

  • 1½ T baking soda
  • ¾ t salt
  • 1⅛ c sugar
  • 1¼ c brown sugar
  • 1½ t vanilla
  • 1½ c soft butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 3⅜ c flour
  • 1 sm bag chocolate chips
  • crushed walnuts (optional)
Instructions
  1. Mix the first 7 ingredients together.
  2. Start adding 1 cup of flour at a time until it’s gone.
  3. Add chocolate chips & walnuts.
  4. Drop by spoonful and bake @ 350 for 8-10 min.

  • 1 c shortening
  • 1 c white sugar
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c milk
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 2 t baking powder
  • 1 t baking soda
  • ½ t salt
  • 4½ cups flour
  • 1 sm pkg chocolate chips

  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add ingredients in the order listed.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Drop by spoonful onto a cookie sheet.

Ingredients
  • ½ c granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1½ t vanilla, divided
  • 2 c flour
  • 1 2 sticks butter
  • ¾ c confectioners sugar
  • 2 to 3 T heavy whipping cream or milk
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Beat butter and granulated sugar in large bowl with electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Beat in egg and 1 t vanilla. Beat in flour on low speed just until blended.
  3. Roll dough into 1-inch balls with lightly floured hands and arrange on ungreased cookie sheets, 2 inches apart. Gently flatten each ball with bottom of lightly floured flat glass. Bake 12 minutes or until cookie bottoms are lightly golden. Cool completely on wire rack.
  4. Mix confectioners sugar, heavy cream and remaining ½ teaspoon vanilla in small bowl until smooth; spread on cookies and decorate with colored sugars, sprinkles or tinted icing.

  • 1½ cups confectioners' sugar
  • 3 T softened butter
  • 1 T vanilla extract
  • 1 T milk
  • 3 drops food coloring (green)
  • 2¼ oz decorator sugar (green)

  2. Then add food coloring.

Ingredients
  • 4½ c. flour
  • 2½ c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. butter, softened
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 3 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. ground ginger
  • 2 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1½ tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 lg. eggs
  • ¼ c. water
  • 3 c. shredded carrots
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 2⅔ c. coconut
  • 1 c. nuts
Instructions
  1. In large mixing bowl combine all ingredients and mix well.
  2. Drop by the spoonful on ungreased cookie sheet.
  3. Bake 350 degrees 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned.
  4. Allow to cool completely before frosting.

Ingredients
  • 1 C. almonds, blanched
  • ¾ C. sugar
  • ¼ lb. butter
  • ½ C. dark molasses
  • ½ C. crystallized ginger, chopped
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 C. flour
  • ½ tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 tbsp. cinnamon, ground
  • 1 tsp nutmeg, ground
  • ½ tsp cloves, ground
  • ½ tsp allspice, ground
  • 1 tsp. ginger, ground
  • ½ tsp. salt
Instructions
  1. To blanch the almonds, place in an 8 to 9 inch square pan and bake at 350 until golden brown. Let cool, coarsely chop, and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl combine sugar, butter, molasses, and ginger and mix until smooth.
  3. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, allspice and almonds.
  5. Combine both the wet mixture and the dry mixture.
  6. On two greased 12x15 inch baking sheets, use well-floured hands to pat dough into 4 flat loaves, spacing them evenly on sheets; each loaf should be about ½ inch thick, 2 inches wide and the length of the baking sheet.
  7. Bake at 350 until browned at edges and springy to touch, about 25 minutes.
  8. Let loaves stand on baking sheets until cool to touch, then cut into long, ½-inch thick diagonal slices. On baking sheets, arrange slices close together with a cut side down. Return to oven and bake at 350 until cookies are brown (about 15 minutes).
  9. Transfer cookies to a cooling rack and allow to cool completely.

Ingredients
  • 1 C. margarine
  • 1 C. white sugar
  • 1 C. brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 C. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • ½ tsp. baking soda
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 2 C. quick oats
  • 1 C. coconut flakes
  • 1 C. gum drops cut into small pieces
Instructions
  1. Thoroughly cream the margarine and sugars together.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.
  3. Sift in remaining ingredients.
  4. Roll mixture into small balls.
  5. Spoon onto a greased cookie sheet and press flat with a fork.
  6. Bake at 375 for 10-13 minutes.
  7. Makes 4 doz.

  • 2 C. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3½ C. sifted flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. cloves, ground
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg, ground
  • 1 C. raisins
  • 2 C. quick oats
  • 2 C. applesauce
Instructions
  1. Cream shortening and sugar.
  2. Stir in the egg and sift in dry ingredients.
  3. Add raisins and oats.
  4. Add applesauce.
  5. Mix well and drop by tsp. onto a greased cokie sheet.
  6. Bake at 375 for 13-15 minutes.
  7. Makes 4½ doz.

  • 2 C. zucchini, grated
  • 2 C. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 C. oil
  • 4 C. flour

Ingredients
  • 1 C. sugar
  • ½ C. shortening
  • 1 egg

  1. Cream the sugar and shortening.
  2. Add egg and milk and mix well.
  3. Sift in dry ingredients and add vanilla.
  4. Roll into a ball and roll out.
  5. Cut out desired shapes with a cookie cutter.
  6. Bake at 375 for 5-7 minutes.
  7. Makes 45 cookies.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. butter
  • 2½ C. sugar
  • 2 C. brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 6 C. flour
  • 1½ tsp. salt
  • 1½ tsp. baking soda
  • 2 C. chopped nuts
  • 6 C. chocolate chips
  • 1½ C. oatmeal
  • 2 C. raisins
Instructions
  1. Beat the butter and sugar together until fluffy.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla and whip for an additional 3-4 minutes
  3. Add dry ingredients and beat. Dough will be dry.
  4. Add nuts and chips and mix with a spoon.
  5. Cover a cookie sheet with waxed paper and drop by spoonfuls onto sheet.
  6. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes. DO NOT OVERCOOK.
  7. Allow cookies to cook for 5 minutes before removing.
  8. Use new waxed paper with each batch.
