Ingredients
  • 1 C. sugar
  • ½ C. shortening
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 C. buttermilk
  • 1 C. jam (any flavor)
  • 2 C. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. cloves
  • ½ tsp. nutmeg
  • ½ C. nuts
  • ½ C. raisins
Instructions
  1. Cream the sugars and shortening together.
  2. Add the eggs one at a time.
  3. Add jam and remaining ingredients.
  4. Pour in a greased and floured pan and bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
