Ingredients
- 2 tbsp. yeast
- 6 C. flour
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- ¼ tsp. baking soda
- 2 C. milk
- ½ C. water
- Cornmeal
Instructions
- Combine yeast, 3 C. flour, sugar, salt and baking soda.
- Heat milk and water until warm.
- Add milk and water to dry ingredients and mix well.
- Add remaining flour to make a stiff batter.
- Spoon into two greased loaf pans that have been sprinkled with cornmeal.
- Cover and allow to rise for 45 minutes.
- Bake at 400 for 25 minutes or until done.
