Ingredients
- ¼ C. butter
- 1 C. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 C. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. baking soda
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 C. sour milk
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
Instructions
- To sour the milk, add 1 tsp. of vinegar to the milk and let stand for a few moments.
- Preheat the oven to 350.
- Cream the butter and sugar together and add eggs and vanilla to the mixture.
- In a separate bowl, combine and mix all of the dry ingredients.
- mix the dry mixture and the sour milk alternately into the cream mixture and mix well.
- Pour half of the mixture into a greased loaf pan.
- Combine 1 tbsp. cinnamon and 3 tbsp. brown sugar and spread over the mixture in the loaf pan.
- Top with remaining mixture.
- Cut through the batter with a knife several times to swirl the cinnamon mixture throughout.
- Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
