Ingredients
- 2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 2 cans mushrooms
- 1 onion, diced
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 4 eggs
- 1½ C. bread crumbs
- 2 C. grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp. Balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbsp. BBQ sauce
- 1 pkg. fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 1 pkg. fresh oregano, chopped
- 2 tbsp. parsley leaves, chopped
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 2 C. marinara sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a sauté pan and add the mushrooms, onions and garlic.
- Sauté until just soft and remove to a plate to cool.
- When the mushrooms are cool, combine the remaining ingredients except for the marinara sauce together.
- Pack the meat into an oiled loaf pan.
- Top with marinara sauce, making sure to spread evenly over the top.
- Bake at 350 for 50 to 60 minutes or until done.
- Remove from oven and let stand for 5 minutes.
- Slice and serve.
