Sweet Chili Sauce

Ingredients
- 24 tomatoes
- 8 lg. onions, minced
- 4 green bell peppers, minced
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. vinegar
- 4 tsp. salt
- ¾ tsp. cinnamon
- ¼ tsp. allspice
- ¼ tsp. cloves
- ⅛ tsp. cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Peel and mash tomatoes and mix with onions and bell peppers in a large pot. Add remaining ingredients and cook on low for 3 or more hours stirring often until sauce is thick.
- Place chili sauce in pint jars with tight lids and give a boiling water bath for 20 minutes.
Notes
Try it on Grilled Cheese and hot dogs. Can be used anywhere you would use ketchup.
