Tomato Soup Spice Cake

Ingredients
  • 2 C. flour
  • 1⅓ C. sugar
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1½ tsp. ground allspice
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 can tomato soup (10¾ oz)
  • ½ C. vegetable shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ C. water
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease a 19x9 baking pan
  3. Mix dry ingredients together.
  4. Add remaining ingredients and mix with an electric mixer at low speed.
  5. Beat for 4 minutes.
  6. Pour mixture into prepared pan.
  7. Bake for 40 minutes or until done.
  8. Cool in pan on a wire rack.
  9. Frost with cream cheese frosting.
