Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean sausage
- ½ c. bread crumbs
- 1 egg, raw
- 1 tbsp. barbecue sauce
- 1 tbsp. flour
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 6 hard-boiled eggs
- 1 egg, beaten (for coating)
- Dry bread crumbs
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Mix sausage with the ½ cup bread crumbs, raw egg BBQ sauce and salt and pepper.
- Divide into 6 equal portions.
- Coat each of the hard boiled eggs with a little milk and form the sausage mixture around each egg.
- Brush a little bit of egg yolk on the sausage ball and roll in bread crumbs.
- Deep fry the eggs for 6 to 7 minutes in hot oil until they are brown. Make sure that the meat is cooked through.
