English Toffee

Recipe Type: dessert
- 2 ½ C. sugar
- 1 C. water
- 4 sticks of butter
- C. light corn syrup
- 2-3 C. of nuts (Any type you prefer)
- Put half of the nuts on an unbuttered cookie sheet.
- Cook the first four ingredients over medium heat until golden brown in a large pan.
- Pour mixture over nuts on cookie sheet and sprinkle with remaining nuts.
- Let cool and break into pieces.
