Vanilla Ice Cream
- ¾ cup sugar.
- ⅓ cup water.
- 1 quart cream.
- 1-1/2 tablespoons vanilla.
- In a large pot, make a syrup by boiling the sugar and water for three minutes.
- Cool slightly and add to cream, add vanilla and pour into a brick shaped mold.
- Place in freezer and freeze or bury the mold in salt and ice and let stand for several hours.
